Graphic Design - Panic! At the Disco Type Study

This design stemmed from a recent commission for a concert t-shirt design we were doing. Being a fan of Panic! at the Disco myself, I jumped at the chance to work on this project.

While the final design for the shirt was drastically different than this initial concept, I’m always eager to experiment with type and letter manipulation. For this concept I was looking to draw on the album artwork and stage design from Panic!’s first two records. The band itself admits to drawing from heavy Vaudevillian and Victorian influences for the records. As a result, I wanted to create a very intricate, ‘fancy,’ and ornate design to reflect these influences, and pay homage to the bands first two studio efforts.
