PURPOSE: Create a new graphic for fitness company

This graphic was created for a startup fitness company in Surprise, Arizona. What started initially as an icon/logo project quickly turned into one of my most challenging projects to date.

After first submitting simple, clean iconographic bear concepts the client had a change of heart. Instead of something with more of a logo feel, the client wanted a more aggressive looking, tattoo art style graphic. Hours of sketching, and thousands of "pen" strokes on my Wacom tablet later, we arrived at the finished product.

This graphic started with a regular photo of a bear. Once I mapped out the major areas of color, it was just a matter of adding in all the detail and "aggressive" elements that the client was looking for. Click through the images below to check out the progression!
